5 Yellow Stars
Gail was brilliant! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, friendly and flexible pet care.
Jan
Pet Sitting Durham
Gail is always on time and has been really flexible with additional days, when we have asked with minimal notice. Willow always comes back tired and happy after her walk and gets very excited as soon as she sees Gail or even hears her name. I am very happy to give very positive feedback to Gemini Pet Care, as they have really stepped up to help out when needed.

Dog Walking Durham
Gail has looked after our dog on several occasions when we have been away on long days out or on short breaks and I would not hesitate to 100% recommend her services to other pet owners. She treats our dog like one of her own. She is a very reliable, intuitive and responsible person and she develops close relationships with every animal she cares for. She is very flexible and tailors the care so that our dog has always had the most home from home experience possible e.g. feeding raw food and providing the same sleeping arrangements. My dog knows her now and is always excited to see her. I wouldn’t leave him with anyone else.

Dog Sitting Durham
I have 2 staffies, Marlow and Juno and they both absolutely love Gail. I’ve used Gail’s services on a number of occasions now while on short breaks or long days away and I feel fully reassured that they are very happy and well looked after whilst in her care. She does such a great job, is reliable, caring and very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her services.

FAQ

The most frequently asked questions and the answers

Many dog owners work full time Monday to Friday and need to leave their pets for long periods during the day. Dog walkers can give an energetic lunchtime walk that gives your dog the physical and mental stimulation it needs.

Sometimes I get requests from people who have suffered an injury or elderly people who are unable to walk their own dog and need our assistance. Whether you require a regular service or something more ad-hoc, get in touch to see if I can help.

There are a number of things we would advise you look at when booking a dog walking service. These include:

  • Only use an insured walker and ask to see their insurance policy.
  • Ask to see their DBS certificate to ensure they don’t have a criminal record, especially if you are giving your walker a key to access your property.
  • During a ‘meet and greet’ see how the dog walker interacts with your dog(s). You want to use someone who is genuinely ‘dog friendly’ rather than someone who is only doing it to make some money.
  • How much experience do they have with pets? Are they a dog owner themselves for example?

Most requests for our service are for cat sitting or dog sitting. Often owners know that they prefer their home environment to kennels. We are happy to offer sitting for other pets though. Whether it’s guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons or some other pet, please contact us.

During our fun group dog walks I will not walk more than four dogs at a time. This ensures we are in full control of your dog and can give them our best full care and attention. If you would prefer your dog to be walked walked separately, then solo walks are available on request. We explore some great parks and woodlands that we know your dog will enjoy.

Yes, prior to dog walks or pet sitting taking place an initial free meet and greet consultation will take place at your home to discuss your specific requirements. We will take detailed notes about your pet’s habits, exercise regime, behaviour, and medical history.  We will also use this opportunity to go through and complete the necessary paperwork including the Dog Walking contract and our Terms and Conditions.
